  1. Training objectives

General objectives: Training human resources at the master’s level of high quality, with an in-depth and updated understanding of Engineering Mechanics, as well as improving scientific knowledge and vision so that students can meet regular innovation of science and technology;

Improve research capacity in Engineering Mechanics.

Specific objectives:

Update new technological knowledge about advanced Engineering Mechanics worldwide while expanding and improving basic scientific and specialized knowledge to create highly qualified human resources.

Training learners with basic practical skills, capable of working independently and creatively and solving problems in the field of Engineering Mechanics.

Train learners to have the ability to self-study to improve their professional qualifications to suit the dynamic and global integration-focused working environment and accumulate experience to become leaders and experts in Engineering Mechanics.

Graduates can become experts in the Engineering Mechanics industry, such as chief engineers, technical managers in corporations, corporations, heads and deputy heads of specialized departments in research units or participate in teaching in mechanical and applied mechanics subjects in technical universities.

  1. Admission information:

3.1 Administration mode: application assessment (According to the Regulations on annual university admission of the Ministry of Education and Training, guidelines of Vietnam National University Hanoi, and the yearly admission plan of the VNU University of Engineering and Technology).

3.2 Eligible candidates:

Vietnamese citizens who have graduated from university (bachelor/engineer) in a field suitable for the field of Engineering Mechanics with good grades or higher (according to the list stated in Section 3.3). In case candidates graduate from university with a lower-than-good grade, they need to have scientific publications (books, textbooks, articles published in specialized scientific journals or reports published in proceedings of specialized scientific conferences and seminars) related to the specialized field of mechatronics and automation engineering; Have foreign language ability at Level 3 or higher according to the 6-level foreign language competency framework used for Vietnam;

Foreign citizens are admitted according to regulations for foreigners studying at VNU.

Documentation requirements are according to the general regulations of VNU and specific regulations of the VNU University of Engineering and Technology.

3.3 Suitable undergraduate fields
