2. Training objectives
General objective: The training program equips students with comprehensive professional knowledge, firmly grasp the principles and law of nature and society, have basic skills and ability to work independently, create and solve mechatronics problems;
Specific objectives: To train the bachelors of Mechatronics Engineering Technology in the direction of engineers, capable of studying and improving their professional qualifications to suit the dynamic working environment and high integration trend; be able to continue to study at a higher level, accumulate experience to become leaders, experts in the field of Mechatronics Engineering and Automation Technology.

- Admission form: According to the regulations of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
- Estimated enrollment scale: 120 students.
1. Knowledge and professional competence
1.1. About the knowledge
Graduated students of the program have specialized theoretical knowledge in the field of training; have a solid understanding of the technology and have practical knowledge in order to handle complex tasks; gaining basic knowledge of basic principles, natural and social laws in the field of training to develop new knowledge and to continue to study at a higher level; Having knowledge of management, administration, legal knowledge and environmental protection related to the field of training; and have specific knowledge and competence as follows:
1.1.1 General knowledge block
Knowledge of political theory
- Understand the scientific knowledge system of the basic principles of Marxism-Leninism;
- Understanding the basic, systematic knowledge of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morals, cultural values, the basic contents of the revolutionary line of the Communist Party of Vietnam, in the period of innovation in some basic areas of social life.
Knowledge of computer science
- Remembering and explaining the basics of information;
- Uses common information processing tools (operating system, office support software and internet explorer, etc);
- Ability to analyze, evaluate and program a high-level programming language (understanding control structures, structured data types, functions / subroutines, global variables / local variables, input and output the file data, steps to build the complete program);
- Ability to analyze and evaluate structure-oriented programming methods and object-oriented programming; distinguish the pros and cons of two programming methods.
Knowledge of foreign languages: Achieve a level equivalent to the level of 3/6 under the 6-level foreign language capability framework for Vietnam.
- Understand the main ideas of a standard, clear discourse on familiar issues in work, school, recreation, etc;
- Handles most situations that may occur when using the language;
- Simply write links about familiar topics or personal interests;
- Describe the experiences, events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and can briefly explain the reasons, explain their ideas and plans.
Physical education and national defense
- Understand and apply basic scientific knowledge in the field of physical training and sports training and self-training, preventing injuries to strengthen and enhance health. Use exercises to develop general fitness and specific physical fitness. Apply basic skills, tactics, rules of competition to the community extra-curricular activities;
- Understand the basic content of military lines and tasks of national defense and security of our nation in the new situation. Apply knowledge learned in combat under normal combat conditions.
1.1.2 Knowledge by field
- Knowledge of basic mechanics, heat, electricity and optics physics; understanding the phenomena and laws of physics and related applications in science, technology and life; apply knowledge to study and research other modules of engineering and technology;
- Understand the knowledge related to mathematical calculus such as limit, derivative, integral of one variable functions and multiple function variables;
- Understand and apply knowledge related to advanced algebra such as matrix and transformations, solving multi-variable systems, etc.
1.1.3 Major block knowledge
- Know the basic knowledge of numerical methods in engineering, understanding and application to calculate or solve mathematical problems in computer science;
- Know the basic knowledge of probability and applied statistics such as rules and probability distributions. Understand and find the characteristic quantities of random variables and their meanings in reality. Apply statistical theory to solve practical problems related to application of reliability theory in technical problems.
1.1.4 Major group knowledge
- Understand and apply basic knowledge of theoretical mechanics, fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, mechatronics .... in simple technical matters;
- Understand and apply basic knowledge of electrical, electronics engineering;
- Know and apply basic knowledge of design, manufacturing engineering, technical drawing and design automation;
- Understand and be able to apply knowledge of simulation techniques, tools and software support in engineering;
- Know and apply the basics of the experiment

In-depth oriented knowledge
Advanced orientation on Mechatronics System
- Know and use computer proficiently to evaluate system or process analysis; use modern tools to develop mechatronic systems in the form of prototype; capable of developing solutions to the design and enhance mechatronic systems, creating "smart" production tools, as well as modern industrial systems.
Advanced orientation on Equipment Manufacture
- Know and use advanced mechanical manufacturing technology, capable of operating, calibrating, designing and manufacturing CNC machine tools, equipment production lines, and mechatronics equipment;
- Know and apply knowledge to design patterns of CNC machine tools;
- Ability to operate "soft" production systems, flexible production systems.
Advanced orientation on Measure and Control:
- Understand and apply advanced knowledge about sensors, impact mechanisms, controll hardware and software, observe and monitor the system.
Advanced orientation on Micro-structure and nano-mechatronics:
- Understand and apply the basic knowledge of MEMS / NEMS technology;
- Know and apply knowledge of cleanroom manufacturing technology and MEMS / NEMS design techniques, and plentiful applications of these systems in the field of telecommunications and biomedical sciences;
- Understand and be able to apply the knowledge of micro-mechatronics and nano-mechatronic systems;
- Understand the technology of manufacturing and assembling components into a MEMS system and be able to apply some of these MEMS systems in engineering and life sciences.
Advanced orientation on Robot technique:
- Know the proficiently use simulation techniques, virtual design technology and modern design software to optimize design, reduce costs when researching and manufacturing robots;
- Understand and apply modern control methods, such as fuzzy control theory, neural networks, real-time control, and embedded control technology for robot control applications.
Advanced orientation on Technical diagnosis:
- Understand and be able to apply the knowledge of simulation of mechatronic systems, machine acoustic diagnostics, identity recognition and system.
Practical and graduated knowledge
- Be able to work in a practical environment, be able to apply integrated knowledge to solve problems in practice;
- Know the research, build products for scientific purposes or life;
- Know how to present ideas in the form of a scientific report.
1.2. Capacity of autonomy and responsibility
- Having the capacity for leading specialized training and professional skills; Take initiative in the course of performing assigned tasks; Ability to self-orientate, adapt to different working environments; self-learning, accumulation of knowledge and experience to improve professional qualifications; be able to make conclusions about common professional issues and technical issues; capable of planning, coordinating and promoting collective wisdom; capability to evaluate and improve professional activities at medium scale.
