2. Training objectives
 
2.1. General objectives
 
- Training human resources at the master's level of high quality, in-depth knowledge of Mechatronics Engineering;
 
- Expand the understanding of the field of Mechatronics Engineering Technology;
 
- Enhance researching capability in Mechatronics.
 
2.2. Specific objectives
 
- Intensive training, equipped with the knowledge and skills which necessary for learners to become technical experts in mechatronics, the ability to exploit and create new equipment and mechatronic systems;
 
- Updated knowledges on new mechatronic technology in the world while expanding and improving basic and specialized sciences knowledge to create highly qualified human resources;
 
- Every year from 2015 to 2017, provide about 20-40 Master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering Technology to meet the demand of developing knowledge economy of the country according to the subject groups;
 
- Improve the capacity of integrated postgraduate training with scientific research - technology deployment, the number of master students in Mechatronics Engineering Technology are the authors and co-authors of the domestic / international published scientific work or software products with high application potential increasing year by year.
 
3. Enrollment information
 
- Entrance examination subjects:
 
+ Basic exam: Examination in the form of competency assessment
 
+ Foundation exam: Applied Mechanics
 
+ Foreign Language: One of the following languages: English, Russian, French, Chinese, German, Japanese, Korean, Thai.
 
- Entrance requirements:
 
+ Having a university degree in Mechatronics Engineering Technology or a major which is suitable to the Mechatronics Engineering Technology;
 
+ Having a formal university degree in the field close to the Mechatronics Engineering Technology. He or she has taken additional courses to obtain the level equivalent to a university degree in Mechatronics Engineering. Additional courses are checked at the time of registration;
 
+ Conditions for seniority: No seniority requirements (be able to apply immediately after graduation).
 
+ Other conditions under the master's training regulations at VNU.

PART II: STANDARD OUTPUT OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM

1. Knowledge and professional competence
 
1.1. About the knowledge
 
1.1.1. General knowledge block
 
Knowledge of political theory
 
- Understand the scientific knowledge system of the basic principles of Marxism-Leninism;
 
- Understanding the basic, systematic knowledge of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morals, cultural values, the basic contents of the revolutionary line of the Communist Party of Vietnam, in the period of innovation in some basic areas of social life.
 
Knowledge of foreign languages:
 
- Achieve a level equivalent to the level of 3/6 under the 6-level foreign language capability framework for Vietnam.
 
- Understand the main ideas in the language that students are studying, master the communication in work and everyday life.
 
- Handles most situations that may occur when using the language;
 
- Simply write links about familiar topics or personal interests;
 
- Describe the experiences, events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and can briefly explain the reasons, explain their ideas and plans.
 
- Write clear, detailed text with a variety of topics and be able to explain one's point of view, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of the different options.
 
1.1.2. Basic and specialized knowledge
 
- Mastering specialized knowledge, be able to handle the work of specialists in the field that has been trained; have critical thinking; have in depth theoretical knowledge in order to be able to develop new knowledge and continue to study at PhD level; Having general knowledge of law, management and environmental protection related to the field of mechatronics technology;
 
- Understand and apply the knowledge of Mechatronics Engineering and basic knowledge of other related Mechatronics majors.
 
- Ability to read and understand professional English documents, capable of writing professional issues in English in the form of a brief scientific journal; know some terms to use professional materials in foreign languages in the major/ interdisciplinary majors that has been trained;
 
- Understand and apply in-depth knowledge of mechatronic engineering to reinforce theoretical knowledge, practical experience of learned knowledge, apply that knowledge into practice. Provide knowledge to be able to continue the PhD degree.

- Group 1: Specialists in charge of technical, design, group management and project work at research institutions, enterprises, production and business organizations related to Mechatronics Technology, Automation, etc.
 
- Group 2: Analysts, consultants and entrepreneurs: Ability to work in companies and consulting organizations, enterprises, ministries and departments; can handle the following jobs: in charge of after-sales service; product development; in the future, they can become analysts, consultants, business leaders and organizations.
 
- Group 3: Researchers and lecturers: Have theoretical summarized skills, ability to carry out further research and teaching at educational and training institutions at all levels; be able to undertake these following works: to participate in research related issues of Mechatronics Engineering; lecturers teach courses which has been trained; develop new products and technologies; in the future can become researchers, senior lecturers, management leaders in the field of Mechatronics Engineering and Automation.
